The library as a place of commons, civic engagement and institutional information and knowledge presents a unique typology to address the issue of accessibility and mobility of resources for the community. To push this typology further and to integrate the local food industry, this proposal builds the library around the food truck. The food truck is often regarded as a way for entrepreneurs to break into the food industry without the high risk and overhead costs associated with brick-and-mortar real-estate. This nimbleness can be captured even further by not just distributing food, but skilled-based and knowledge-based programming as well, such as maker-style craft labs on wheels, or bookmobiles. The library then serves as an adaptible infrastructure and a locus for democratic entrepeneurialism. The interface of the ramp and library can vary according to program needs over time.
