Jumping into this project already over a year into construction has been a challenging but welcome learning experience. Below is some of the work that I've contributed to in detailing and fabricating a custom floating staircase that connects the upper and lower floor along a central defining concrete wall. Part of the learning is knowing how to draw and detail just enough to communicate intent to the build team and solve other specifics 'in-the-field' along with them, while still executing the clients' and the principle Architects design vision.
